Description
In 1933, Dorothy “Sister” Parish moved into her home as a new bride. She wanted to decorate her home but she had a budget to adhere to. Somehow it dawned upon her that ticking fabric can be a budget friendly alternative to the expensive ones and so she made draperies out of it. Soon, this hobby decorator turned her hobby into a business and went onto decorate the homes of NY elites including President Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy.
It was her who brought Ticking, which had a fairly humble beginning, to a new light and hence was born the American country look- which we all know very well today, and a look that has continued to stay in the realm of home décor.
A bit of ticking, a bit of florals and there you have the homey, cottagey home of your dreams.
