If you love a little corner in the sun for yourself with a book and coffee or a candlelit dinner for the two of you, under moonlight and fairy lights, this is your spot. There is a marriage happening in 2 months ( you can guess who’s getting married 🙂 ) and Christmas is just some weeks away. So you know, I wanted to get on to the organizing-and-setting-the-home-up-for holidays train early.
We wanted to go grown up, natural coastal from dreamy eyed blue coastal decor for a while and we couldn’t wait any further when we got to move in some beautiful teak wood furniture from Ro’s place. Mum in law wanted to get rid of it, we loved it, so yeah- bang on. Of all the transformations and Before & After you’ll see here on, this is the first!
The runner on top is vintage and was printed by Ro’s dad who is now the chief textile manager for Bombay Rayon and who used to own a textile factory in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Made as a valence for his client in Japan, this was one of the samples. MIL gave it to me and I was ecstatic! I am using it as a runner!
The bone china glassware on top is from Khoja- 1975, again a gift from MIL. She gave me a basket full of old things that she collected between 75 to 82 and rarely used. God knows I was happy!
Hope the rest of the house matches with this luscious table…
To good things!
