Fridge makeover with chalkboard paint

G’day ladies. How’s it going at yours?

Things have finally started to fall in place in my little apartment and I’m glad things are moving. I threw away almost 75% of what I had accumulated through out the years, keeping only what I need and I “really” need. The paint job is finally happening and by April 5th, I’m, hoping I’ll be ready to play the host to my parents who are coming to stay with me for a week. There is more than them staying with me but I’ll break the news once its happened!

Back to point.

When I first started staying with my roomies,  4 years back, we bought this refrigerator together. But when I moved out individually, I took the refrigerator with me. And since then, its been the same color- grey. This time when I moved, while transfer, it got some ugly scratches + I was starting to dislike how it looked. Everything was fine till I saw some superb chalkboard paint makeovers online- you know how it is ladies! Once you see what you want, you just won’t rest till its done. For me, “the need” gets the best of me. If i want something, I want it, and I want it now. Till the time I don’t get that, I keep looking, searching, planning for it- at times even keeping away my work. So, anywhich ways, I must have it or I’d end up keeping everything at bay. This is me, my nature. Or else, how would you justify the fact that I painted it after coming from work at 12 at night!

I sanded the front down, gave it one coat of primer and then 1 coat of chalkboard paint. One more coat is pending but I couldn’t keep the excitement to myself.

Rohan thought it was pretty lame, but I forgive him. I know it’s very cool. Also, for a person like me who often forgets to do stuff, I think it’s a great idea to finally stop forgetting. Here’s the old version

And here’s it with one coat of paint on it:

So, what do you all think? Would love a few comment or two.

P.s: some parts are coming off and i see some proud lines. Any suggestions?
