Morning fellas. we are getting boozy with some great wine bottle ideas this morning: what’s with the dry day that I am having to satiate my want for wine just by looking these 😉 It’s election day today here in #Mumbai and its a public holiday. Looks like the perfect day to wake up and grab a coffee and blog about some wine bottles and how to etch a wine bottle like a pro while the husband snores away. Yeah?
I know..its been a while. I left my previous organization and joined a new one and that makes me travel almost 30 kilometers one way: I have very little of me left after I am home. I wonder how long will I able to do this but as long as I can, it’s going to be a great ride. I have worked with Tonicmedia before and I believe that they instill in their employees a sense of ownership. A sense of belonging that makes work more than just going to work. It’s been a while I had so much fun working. If you are from Mumbai and you have the creative juice flowing and you want a place that gives you creative freedom- that’s your place homies.
We’ll get back to more homey  things now: How to creatively reuse your old wine bottles simply by etching them
Lately, I have been trying a variety of wine- thanks to a friend who made a devilish deal with me which looks like ‘paint me a Tshirt and I get you wine’. Never before was I so tempted to paint Tees. From a nice Pinot Noir to Merlot to Zindfandel and port: We are drunk on the nectar of Gods. I am also drunk on the classic green wine bottles and refuse to throw them away. I have made so much vase in the last 2 years that one more would probably make my husband squeeze me in one of those bottles and throw me in the sea only to be found by pirates or glass eating white sharks.
Its been a while I thought of etching glass but unfortunately etching creams are not available in Hobby Ideas or anywhere in my vicinity. Bright side is, there is a pen I found on ebay which claimed to write on any material: something i made my husband gift me by force 🙂 Here’s a link to it if you’d like a piece: Engraving pen. All you need to do is just hold it like a pen, press the pressure button and off you go carving – wuhooo- on glass!
I turned 3 wine bottles into personalized water bottles and on my way to engrave a single malt bottle to a pendant lamp. It’s beautiful.
Totally worth buying and reusing beautiful wine bottles. Whadayasayin?
