Wowza beach house loving ladies? How have your old self been doing? Christmas is right round the corner and I see a lot of your snow boots are out eh! Lucky people. We are still in our beach slippers and check shirts and jeans and mojito. No change there. Tch..
But regardless of the stagnant weather and heat monstrosity, I am wearing my flannels. I crank the air conditioner to 16, increase the speed of the fan to full and stomp around wearing my flannel pjs. Such fun I tell you…God bless the air conditioner. I wonder what my life had been without one.
Anyway. Humor apart, we’ve been getting a lot of old furniture, lighting and accents from Rohan’s folks who are reno-ing their home. A bed, a couch, 2 dressers, trolleys, lights- lol! Are we robbing them? Happily.
Last week, Ro’s dad threw away a couple of lighting fixtures which I picked up. It might have looked really good in their setting but personally I am not a big fan of gold and black. I am not a gold and black fan at all. It just had to get a Trumatter’s beach house makeover 🙂
I opened up the glasses from the frame (the clips below at the tip of the petal are to hold them- note the screws on top that attaches the glass to the body of the frame) and spray painted them in old white.
Next, I spray painted the frame too and distressed the sides
Stuck it an oldy old bulb found in the mid centuries and there you go!

Doesn’t it? Maybe I should call it “the magical tulip”.Something fairy landish.
I love the way it turned out. Agree with the magic tulip description.

Thanks rupa 🙂 So happy to see you here
This. Is. So. Beautiful!
Love what you did with this wall sconce, Rukmini, I’ll revisit again as soon as I have a bit of time to craft (found an old wall sconce the other day that needs a similar makeover) 🙂
