Gooood morning shuveting stars! How do you do up north somewhere?
I have an unsponsored post today about double chocolate cake, Pillsbury cake mix, Pillsbury Chocolate frosting and classic cheating this Saturday arvo. If you are not a cake enthusiast and are someone who loves to eat hay sugarless treats, maafi! (Which means sorry in Hindi btw). This post calls for chocolate dreams, full of kilocalories and aphrodisiacs. In this part of the world, in this little loft, that’s how we roll baby- no compromises there.
My office is located in great place. Apart from the fact that its Powai and its superb, its also right beside Haiko Supermarket. Girly girls, you know what that means. A lip gloss, some broccoli, coffee breaks- it all leads to Haiko. And my all time companion is Eman Sayed Fathy, a princess from Egypt who works with me! BEAT THAT.
So anyway, yesterday while shopping with the Princess for the weekend, I craved for some chocolate cake. And do you know what I instantly thought of? Cheating. I mean I can make cakes and all. Its not like I never made cakes from scratch. I did. But I really didn’t want to go through fluffing the butter with sugar and all that jazz. So I cut myself some slack and got along with a cheat cake which turned out awesomely delicious.
Honestly, it tasted so much like home made that if given to me without notice, I wouldn’t be able to tell ya its packet mix. It’s fantastic this Pillsbury Cake mix. All you need to do is add 1/2 a cup of oil and 2 eggs. Whisk and kaboom. In the oven for 170 degrees for 30 minutes.
Once cooled, slather Pillsbury chocolate frosting (also available in vanilla flavor) on top and some sprinklers if you please. Super easy chocolate cake is ready to be hogged.
Seriously! Technology has brought down the value of talent but what the heck…I TOTALLY RECCOMMEND
Thank you Pillsbury. You are a busy girl’s best friend.

The cake looks delicious! How cool that you are friends with a princess. I hope you saved some cake for her!
I did but a double chocolate cake’s life is very short lived right? With chocolate cannibals like me around it.
Hi Rukmini,
You have such a beautiful blog. By profession, I am an Interior Designer and it’s when I had to quit work after marriage that I started my food blog. I’ve spent quite some time on your space that combines my love for both, design and food. I couldn’t leave without posting on this chocolate wonder which is my biggest weakness. 😉
I’m so glad to have found your blog. All the best. I shall be back for more.
Much love,
Sayana
