Well, hello then. Morning to you all. Feels like I have not been here for centuries.
It’s been a dead-busy week at work and home with me taking over the creative execution at work and decluttering, painting and putting things in order at home. It was organizing at its peak and I still need 3 rattan baskets, two lamps, 3 holders and putty. Jeez! Work doesn’t seem to get over. God give me a sign!
Well, not that he didn’t. Among all those dust cleaning, a little paint job seriously seemed to bring back my adrenaline. In the process of organizing my kitchen, I felt the need for a sign. But problem was, I wanted something shabby but bright, something not too big but sunny and loud.
last year we made a shelf and we had wood pieces left. I picked up one and primed it. Next I topped it with a shade of acrylic color I created myself with 1 part of scarlet red and one part of white.
Next, I sanded it with sand paper to give it a worn out look: Obviously you all are very well acquainted with the process of chipping and wearing a color down.
Once ready and dry, I wrote the word “Country kitchen” freehand. Of course you can use a stencil and choose your font.
It is now ready to be hung!
I’ll be back with some more of my kitchen.
See ya and if you are seeing me and liking me, you can follow me via linky tool on the side bar.
Toodles.
