Scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed: Today I smell of dettol and Lizol and washing powder. The doors have been stripped down, white paint has climbed the poor, orphan shutters, the hideous lamp has been soaked and scrubbed off to let ot its beautiful glass and “Aberfeldy” logo and the lampshade gets an upgrade: Anthropologie style monogram.
