Hello Ladies! Morning from the creek side apartment, with twinkly lights. Got your cuppa yet? O or are you still recovering from port fountain? Honestly, me too. I think I could sleep for another 5 days, uninterrupted. But between my slumber and half-consciousness, I would love to give my feet some love; smother them in some oily and sugary goodness! And believe me, once you have tried this scrub, you would never really want to buy another expensive so called “organic” bull **** as this beats the butt out of any scrub that you’ve used by far.

Why would you believe me? Because I am cosmetic junkie and my feet are not the best feature of my body. In fact they are I think quite fugly by standard. They only look good in certain nail-colors, get dry very fast and gives me a hard time to make it look moisturized. Evidently, I have tried pretty much everything that can make my feet look pretty: consider everything. But nothing in this whole wide world could give me a feet like this did. This is absolutely amazing. Plus, this recipe come from the beachcottage queen, Sarah– I seriously cannot thank her enough for sharing this. It’s on her blog.

Let’s come to the dope then.

What you need for this o-so-beautiful scrub:

Granulated sugar

olive oil/ Almond oil (I use olive oil because its less expensive plus it works really well for me)

Essential oil: I used lavender, you can use any of your choice.

A glass bowl or jar

HOW

Pour the sugar and dowse it in oil till it reaches a scrub consistency. Now add a drop of your essential oil and mix well. Store in your bathroom shelf- it does have a pretty good shelf life.

My tip*

Crush granulated sugar to semi fine powder. Pour olive oil and 2 drops of lemon juice. This will work as a body polishing scrub too, all the while moisturizing you body.

Try this and see. You’ll be all excited as I am.

  1. Oh this looks amazing! I used to use a lemon salt scrub when I lived at the coast, I miss it so much, it was wonderful, so I’ll have to give this a try,
Thanks for the comment on my pics, the blue cobalt is my fave too, my hubby took that one, with his camera which is far better than mine 😉

    1. Haha. Honestly, i think any cam would have brought out its beauty…but yes, beautiful picture. Gotta give it to the man and his camera. I was smitten.
Also, if you have dry skin and it feels parched, this is a must try. You’ll be amazed by the result. Enjoy 🙂

    1. Tammy, salt is basically a dehydrant, so it works really well for open pores and oily skin. Sugar on the other hand is a moisturizer. So, this is probably the only difference 🙂 I have dry skin. So, this works really well for me. Also, are you on Twitter?

  2. I love this idea – is it possible to make a big batch and save it??? (i work 60-80 hours a week and time saving is a necessity). Thanks
