So yeah! a very happy sunday to you all! I am here to talk about a scrub that got quite a bit of attention over the past few weeks!
You see, much as I would love to say that after a 10 hour-full time job, after managing laundry and dishes, and a husband who demands all my attention, and a rabbit that gives me look when i give him spinach I just do not get time- truth is I am lazy. I just do not want to step out of the house on a Sunday unless this 28 year old kid I call husband takes me out on a date or drives me. I mean I don’t know how to drive because I always thought if I knew how to they’d make me drive relatives and friends and family around. For the longest time I avoided cooking too for the same reasons π
Look at me shameless and alright!
So it all happened, this way, the scrub-
When Β I expressed my ardent displeasure in my jiggly thighs- the princess of Egypt AKA Eman Sayyed Fathy gave me a solution that she thinks is common science and I think is stolen from Cleopatra’s tomb! Coffee beans are natural skin exfoliator and work on cellulite like wonder. What’s best is – throw in some sugar and some olive oil and you have a body polishing scrub that work 3 ways-
a) reduce cellulite
b) hydrates your skin
c) Prevents body hair from coming back
What else would you need from a scrub? You tell me.
Coffee beans residue
Olive oil (I freeze and keep in cubes)
Cocoa powder (for a hint of smell and color)
Sugar (Brown/white)
Mix it all up and scrub your body thrice a week while bath.
When you see the difference- come and let me know!
update: this scrub actually is Eman’s German roomie’s beauty tip. Apparently, some Brazilian guy is also involved in making this scrub effective saying brazilian coffee works best. So yeah- authenticity is pending. The result though is unmatched!

Tell me more? I have a scrub that I love but it is expensive and I’d love to find an alternative. By coffee residue, do you mean grounds? Have you used it?
Yes, grounds π And yes I have used it- infact, I am using it almost everyday. It works like miracle and gives your skin this satiny soft feeling and a healthy glow! I am never using any store bought scrub again. If you have dry skin, this is something you would adore…give it a try!
P.S: This blog was written on request…my colleagues at work wondered what’s behind my smooth, glowy skin. Lol…Very awkward to declare but its true.
And the cellulite part?
Thighs are visibly dimple free and looks much even. I think they have gone a size lower too- my linen pants have started fitting me nice and loose.
Also, massaging is important- take a good 4-5 minutes to massage an area. π
You can also use it as a face scrub but scrub lightly π
I’m going for it.
I’m pinning this one and going for it, too! I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks.
Its so good to see you here! Do let me know π
Hmm, I’ve made body scrub before, and am about to finish it off in a little while. Will definitely try this when I need to make another batch, sounds divine!
Oh, you should. You’ll thank me for this! π
